Just found out Casey James is coming to the Icehouse on 3rd street in my city… and I’ve been waiting for him to do a show here for years. I just really like who he is as a person, and his voice. So I get PSYCHED and then I realize… his show is the same day as the Avett Brothers show at the SAME EXACT TIME. That would happen. It would.
So I have a ticket to the Avett Brothers concert at Artpark, which was a 50 dollar ticket. I went to request it off, 19 days in advance, thinking it would be enough time. The new Laborpro system we have told me it was too late. It was a day too late, because apparently you need to tell them about ONE day you need off 20 days in advance. Sometimes I don’t know things that far in advance! I told my boss about my situation in person, and she wrote a note to the woman who writes my schedule. Just checked and guess who has to work the night of the concert- THIS GIRL. Now I have to hunt people down and see if they’ll work for me, because I really really will be so upset if I have to waste this ticket and miss my boys :(
